Andy McTigue

President, Executive Board

AKC Canine Good Citizen and Public Access Training Evaluator

Medical Assistance and Service Dog Training

Andy’s career with SEAL Team One in the U.S. Navy gives him a unique ability to connect with fellow veterans—speaking with both candor and compassion about their needs and challenges.

As a service dog trainer, Andy understands that each veteran brings a different story, and with it, a different training challenge. His group classes use a team approach, where veterans support one another in a positive, encouraging environment.

His own service dog, Katie, serves not only as a model of what’s possible through training, but also as a calming and inspiring presence for everyone in the program.
